Running to Stop the Traffik (RTST) — a youth-led anti-slavery organisation based in Hong Kong – will be holding a 24-hour race to raise awareness on human trafficking and modern-day slavery. Students from all over Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore will run in the RTST 24-Hour Race 2014 from 15 to 16 November 2014.

Malaysia: Anti-Human Trafficking Act to be amended next session, says Wan Junaidi

The government will amend the Anti-Human Trafficking Act (Amendment) 2010 to improve Malaysia’s ranking in the Trafficking in Persons (TIP) report drawn up by the American government, from Tier Three to a better level. Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said the amendment is expected to be implemented in June next year.
